Wow, I just realized that I'm sending 100th issue of my newsletter... So much learning along the way 🤩

Back to this weeks issue...

The Most Underrated Skill That Instantly Makes You Look Confident

And yet… 99% of people NEVER use it.

Ready?

...

Silence.

(Yes… the same “awkward silence” we tend to avoid 😉)

Most people fear it.
Most confident ones weaponize it.

If you want to sound more confident...
stop talking so much.

Here are 5 ways pauses make you look miles ahead of everyone else:

1. Pauses = Power
They make your message LAND
Use a pause before and after the punchline
Instant authority.

2. Pauses = Calm
Your brain runs fast
Your mouth tries to keep up
That’s where panic happens
A short pause resets your nervous system.

3. Pauses = No more filler words
“Um.” “Uh.” “So…”
Gone!
Silence beats insecurity every time.

4. Pauses = Better comprehension
You know your message
Your audience doesn’t
Give them space to digest
Idea → Pause → Next idea.

5. Pauses = Better answers
Stop jumping into answers
Pause. Think. THEN speak
You’ll look 2× smarter instantly.

A quick challenge:
→ In your next meeting, deliver ONE key idea…
→ Then pause for 2-3 full seconds.

You’ll feel uncomfortable (initially)
But they’ll feel your authority.

If this made you rethink how you speak…
Save it... Practice it.

Your words matter.
But your pauses?
..

They make people listen.

I have created this handy PDF on how to use pauses in 5 ways in your public speaking along with situations and examples.
